Room of the Week
Loving the bright orange pops of color in this interior. What a perfect contrast to the bleak weather outside. And my favorite part...the unfinished wood coffee table. What a great place to spread out projects, books, appetizers, or cocktails!

Lunchtime Links: Mason Jar Themed!
Nothing says home to me more than that first sip of sweet tea from a mason jar. Mason Jars will play a big role at our wedding- the centerpieces will be mason jars of hydrangeas & our guests will be drinking out of smaller mason jars. I'm loving these mason-themed links...check them out for yourself!
2. Keep Calm & Mason On Poster on Etsy. You can get your logo personalized onto the jar! Definite reception decor possibility.
3. My Tumblr account...Mason Jar of Sweet Tea. Check it out!
4. Mason Jar Save-the-Dates on Etsy...can I send out this one in addition to the ones I've already sent? :)

Nautical Flair
It seems like every time I peruse through other blogs or tumblrs, I am drawn to all things nautical. I'm craving warm weather and anything striped or seersucker, so these images are as close as I'm going to get right now:) Enjoy, and be sure to find the summer inside of you today.

Lazy Day
Do you ever wake up and wish you could just stay in bed all day? I feel like I do that everyday, but I'm blaming it on my down comforter and the recent cold spell we've had. Here are a few images that evoke my lazy day mentality. Forgive me if these don't inspire you to be productive:)

Wedding Hunt: Reception Decor
Today's post isn't that much of a hunt...more like a collection of images that I'd love to re-create for the reception. The flavor I'm envisioning has a chic country vibe, created by details of mason jars, wooden signs, and other inviting touches. I'd love to hear which of these images you like the best, as well as some of your ideas!

Wedding Hunt: Hair-Do
When I started looking at wedding hairstyles, I knew I wanted to wear my hair half-up/half-down, but I never realized there were so many options and styles. They all vary slightly whether its just by the accessory, curly or straight, or how the hair is pinned back. Which of these looks is your favorite?

Wedding Hunt: Earrings
Today's wedding hunt is all about earrings. This accessory is crucial to me because I'm not planning on wearing a necklace and I'm planning on wearing my hair half up/half down. I would love to hear y'alls opinions on this subject and what you think would look best!
2. Marvelous Moonshine Silver Earrings, $9 Ruche
3. AV Max Crystal Drop Earrings, Rent: $10, Purchase: $48, Rent the Runway
4. Crystal Fob Drop Earrings, $200 BHLDN
5. Tiny Luck Necklace, $34 Etsy
6. Alexis Bittar Small Teardrop Earrings, $150 Nordstrom
Okay, so I know #5 is not a pair of earrings, but the great thing about Etsy is that you can talk to the store designer and customize your own jewelry. And that is exactly what I did. I thought the horseshoe shape would be perfect since our reception is at a horse farm. I love the dainty quality of the necklace so I asked the store's designer if she would be able to customize a pair for me. She agreed, so now I can't wait til they come in so I can see how they turn out! So the wedding hunt for earrings is over!

Wedding Hunt: Reception Table Runners
This week I'll be featuring posts on wedding day details that I'm still in search of. For me, Spring Break was filled with wedding appointments and to-do lists. Meeting with potential florists and the event coordinator made me begin to be able to envision even the little details of the big day. One of the details I envision for the reception are navy table cloths with pewter and white table runners across them. I envision the pattern to be a bold, over-scaled modern statement that grounds the whole table. I'm on the hunt for the perfect gray and white fabric that I could sew into table runners. I would love to hear your comments about which one you like the best, or if you've seen another fabric somewhere else that you would suggest. Please leave me some comments on this topic, trust me I need all the help I can get with this!
1. Joy Pearl Contemporary Drapery Fabric
2. Ty Pennington Angel Wing Fabric in Charcoal
3. Ty Pennington Lace Fabric in Gray
4. Ty Pennington Honeycomb Fabric in Gray
5. Waverly Cross Section Fabric in Charcoal
6. Source Unknown {As soon as I find it I will share it with you!}
So which one do you like the best?

Room of the Week
The color palette of this interior is perfect for the start of spring. Mossy greens, mustard golds, and the vibrant periwinkle hydrangeas compliment the stone & wood architecture. And that chandelier...talk about a focal point. It looks like its made of oyster shells, what a perfect piece for a beach house.

Lunchtime Links
Happy Wednesday! We're through the hardest half of the week, and for me, the rest of the week will be filled with bluegrass, birthdays, and a wedding shower! I'm so excited...but until then, lets be as productive as possible:)
2. Delicious Ham & Cheese Sliders recipe from Just Cook Already. I can't wait to try these, it makes my mouth water just looking at them.
3. A gallery of inviting European streets by Lovely Clusters. Warning: for all you spring-break travel deprived individuals like me, this collection of images will make you thirst to travel.
4. Interior photographs of the restaurant and rooftop terrace of the Barbican Centre in London.

Wedding Planning: Pop of Color
This past week has been filled with wedding appointments, band shopping, and guestlist fine-tuning. After meeting with the florist and event coordinator, I'm beginning to be able to envision the big day including some of the little details. I think those little details are what make weddings memorable and personalized. And its those little details that help to set a mood and bring in a color palette. One of my wedding colors is persimmon- a vibrant blend of orange, coral, and red. I'm so excited to bring in a splash of color with persimmon ribbon, chair ties, flowers, and more. Here are a few images that incorporate their own pop of color, in the same color family as persimmon.

Image Board: Simple Beauty
To me, the time change marks the beginning of spring. Yesterday was almost 70 degrees {yay!} and it made me want to linger in the sunshine and forget about the hectic schedules, to-do lists, and insignificant details. It gave me a little bit of much needed time to appreciate the simple beauty of life.

Room of the Week
This warehouse-like kitchen has me drooling over its exposed brick and concrete surfaces, soaring ceiling heights, and loft ambiance. I might actually want to get up and cook breakfast in the morning in a space like this with welcoming sunlight pouring in.

Simple Outdoor Lounge
Spring Break fever has got me yearning to lounge in a comfortable outdoor escape, just like whats seen in these images photographed by Michael Graydon.
A Viewfinder's Home
I love the simplicity of this Cape Town home. The interior features unusual details, such as an art wall made from canvases with their backs exposed. The quiet white architecture allows the views to take precedence and the small details to shine.

For the Love of...Antlers
I've been obsessing over antlers for a while now, and to me its more than just a trend. These refined, simple pieces are a great way to blend a more feminine style with a masculine edge. Any of these light fixtures or wall mounts would be the perfect interior statement for Chris & I, especially since he loves to hunt.

A Bridge Between
Yesterday I stumbled upon this Pedestrian Bridge on Archdaily. I love how the original bridge has been relocated and repurposed to now literally surround a pedestrian walkway. The photos of the bridge being relocated make me appreciate its history as well as its new purpose.
The bridge post reminded me of another space I had seen a while ago, also on Archdaily. But instead of being an actual bridge, Bridge House was inspired by a historic covered bridge located nearby it in Kent Falls State Park, Connecticut. The home features a dining/living room space located within the "bridge" of the home inspired by the natural flow of bedrock and streams.

For the Love of...Bows
Lately I've been seeing this girly motif everywhere. The oversized scale makes them fresh and timeless. Whoever said bows were for little girls hasn't seen these stylish photos.

Ralph Lauren's Interior
Recently Elle Decor featured Ralph Lauren's crisp American home. This Fifth Avenue duplex was designed by Angelo Donghia, and provides a space where Lauren and his wife can relax or entertain. The interior mimics the timeless style of his fashion, incorporating fresh whites, rich leathers, and refined details. I love the shiny silver accents and how the space seems to have a comfortable masculinity combined with an inviting femininity.
