It's all Chris' family's fault. They introduced me to it. They're the ones who had this show on the television set when I came over. And now I'm slightly obsessed.
Have you ever seen the show Picker Sisters on Lifetime? It stars two best friend, Tanya and Tracy, who scour the countryside for junk yards and scrap metal piles. As interior designers, they transform rusted parts into custom furniture and accessories to sell in their Los Angeles store. They've taken pesticide sprayers and transformed them into track lighting, converted a 1950's truck's fenders into groovy swivel chairs, and turned an old acid waste locker into a glitzy bar closet. Their creativity is so inspiring, and so is their sense of fashion. Even when they are trudging through junk piles they have the cutest boots and outfits! Its refreshing to see a few gals that aren't afraid to get their hands dirty while they use their creativity to transform someone's trash into contemporary rustic one-of-a-kind pieces.
