One of my favorite things about fall is football and tailgating. Even though the Hokies aren't doing too well this year, I'm excited to share these football engagement sessions. I love the way these photos show the couples' personalities and keep things fun. Check out the links below for more photographs from these stunning sessions.

So Simple & Understated
This modern engagement shoot lets the couple take center stage while providing simple, quiet backdrops. I love how common concrete sidewalks, docks, and wooden walls become contemporary compositional tools that provide simplistic lines.

Engagement Session: Tailgatin' Style
I love this idea for an engagement session...can't you imagine this same concept done Hokie style? I love the drink bucket with the team logo on it, the banner flags, and the lawn chairs! This is such a great way to tie in your alma mater if you and your fiance went to the same school. Has anyone seen a similar collegiate engagement session? I'd love to hear about it if you have!

Engagement Session
When I first saw this engagement session I could've sworn it was an ad campaign for Ralph Lauren. The couple's good looks and natural style make this photo-shoot one of my all time favorites. I love how the photographer, Matt Clayton, took a rainy day and simple farm setting to create this one-of-a-kind engagement session.

Favorite. Engagement. Sesh. Ever.
I discovered this to-die-for engagement session by Sheena Jibson Photography on Ruffled. There is something about it that is so intimate, summery, and quiet that reminds me of The Notebook. I just had to share it with you...

Engagement Pictures
So remember this post? Well Chris and I were lucky enough to have Rebecca of Sterling Reflections shoot our engagement photographs! I was so impressed with how comfortable she made us feel and how much fun we had taking these! Chris especially hates posing for pictures, but she was so quick about it and she let us feel natural and just be ourselves. We found some awesome backdrops at our church family member's house by the river. So thanks to Mae & Stanley for that! I am so happy with how the photographs turned out, so I had to show them off to you all. I can't wait to hear which one{s} are your favorites! Thanks Becca for doing such an amazing job!
Thanks so much Becca! Check out more of her amazing photography on her blog.
