Grid Blog Header

Chris and I have been working on a wedding blog instead of a traditional wedding website.  This way, we can share some of the aspects of wedding planning with our guests and inform them on accommodations, directions, and registry info. I was inspired by Shanni Weilert's Wedding Photography website for the blog header.  I love how she formatted her bright interesting photographs into a beautiful grid layout.

Here's Shanni's blog header that I used for inspiration...

Here's the blog header we have so far...

These graphics are the links that will be featured on the right side of the blog...

So check out our wedding blog and see what you think!  Remember its under construction, so not all the links are working.

Check it Out: Kiss the Bride

Sarah Jane at Walking Around has also created a wedding blog, called Kiss the Bride.  I love her simple taste and clean style.  Kiss the Bride serves not only as inspiration, but as a guide for brides.  She features DIY projects, inspiration boards, and beautiful themed weddings.

Check it Out: Simply Hue

Simply Hue is a blog created by Vicki Dvorak that features artist spotlights on everything from jewelry, photography, and other aspects of design. Her style is vintage and chic, with soft colors and scripty fonts.  Be sure to check out the playlist on the bottom of her blog too, its a great mix and I especially love Patty Griffin.

Check it Out: Paul Johnson Photography

While browsing through Southern Weddings Magazine Blog, I stumbled across a photography contest for their cover shoot.  Different photographers entered, and it showed a few thumbnail shots from each photographer.  As soon as I saw Paul Johnson's photographs, I was hooked.  I seriously spent 2 hours looking through the images on his blog and website.  Every shot is fresh, natural, and evokes a mood.  The feeling and theme of each wedding is captured in each photo.  Paul does a lot of beach weddings in Florida, so most of the weddings are nautical themed...which I absolutely love.  I hope you find as much inspiration from his photographs as I did!

Check it Out: The Bright Side Project Blog

This beautiful blog's goal is to remind its readers of the simple beauties in life by bringing them a little sliver of sunshine each day.  During the month of May, they've been featuring their favorite bloggers with guest posts that highlight their favorite things.  I love the style of the Bright Side: their fresh color palette and collage-like layout for each post. Here are a few bits of sunshine to get you to check it out.  Oh-so inspirational!
