Splash of Architecture
The Waterhouse at South Bund is a new hotel in the historic Shiliupu district of Shanghai. It features 19 rooms, a destination restaurant, rooftop cocktail bar, and a warehouse-style event space. I love the contrasting industrial elements with the sleek materials and warm woods. The entrance literally unfolds from rustic wooden beams, and the windows are a series of punch outs with framed wooden openings. This is a great example of how the architecture and interior of a building work hand and hand with each other and blend seamlessly together.

{Neutral} Rooms of the Week
Crisp white walls, warm woods, and little hints of color here and there make these rooms refreshing and ready for fall.

Watercolor Wednesday
Eduard Erlikh is a fashion illustrator who uses watercolor as his main medium. His wet, loose style is so mood-evoking and fresh. The sensitive lineweights contrast so well against the well-thought-out white space. I'm jealous of his use of color and bold strokes.

Awe Inspiring Autumn
Now that fall has officially arrived, I'm ready to bring out the scarves and put the flip flops away. I love Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes, Philosophy's spiced apple cider body wash, plum-colored nail polish, pumpkin picking, tailgating, and the sun glimmering off the fallen leaves. What are your favorite things about fall?

New Post Theme: Lunchtime Links
Watch out Heather Dinich, here comes Lunchtime Links with a design flair! So my fiance is always reading blog posts...not on my blog, but on the ACC Sports Blog. Heather writes sports articles on the latest games and player updates, and has a great theme entitled Lunchtime Links. My fiance told me about this link idea, so I decided to borrow it and tweak it a little to make it more design-oriented than sports-oriented. Once or twice a week I'll feature a special lunchtime post in addition to the day's regular post. It will feature a few links to browse through over lunch, featuring designers, interiors, shopping, and other blogs that I like to look at. Hope you enjoy this edition of Lunchtime Links!

Feature Week: Ritzy Bee Blog
Sorry Feature Week has been slightly delayed! Between studio projects and computer hiccups this semester has been more stressful than planned. Today's feature, however, will bring a refreshing break to this hectic week. Jessica told me about the Ritzy Bee Blog, a fun wedding inspiration blog created by event designers Maria and Kelly. I especially love their "Details We're Loving" and "Vintage Wednesday" posts. Check it out and see for yourself!

Room of the Week
As soon as I saw this airy, light-filled space, I fell in love. I usually don't go for bold, rich colors...but the combined patterns and textures in this room are so eye-catching. This space has a bohemian feel while still being fall-ish and casual.
